The antique appearance of these images is the result of utilizing two separate cameras. A digital camera is pointed facing straight down into the viewfinder section of a 1950’s era twin lens reflex camera. The vintage camera is used as a vastly imperfect filter device where light bends and refracts off of it’s surface. The resulting image is transformed into a more generalized atmospheric vision, the imperfections are part of the process and intentionally used.
