ABSTRACT PAINTINGS
These paintings were the result of a desire to free myself from the rigidity of realist concepts that I’d been painting since my student days. Early abstract efforts were comprised of small shapes and paint strokes with the overall images being cloud-like without directional leading. As my confidence grew I found new painterly language that dynamically directed the viewer around the canvas.
