ABSTRACT COLLAGE
These collage paintings were born out of a desire to reuse some very large palette knife paintings from the past that had never been fully realized. These thick canvases are cut up into smaller pieces and rearranged with new abstract concepts in mind. You can see the buildup of paint on the surface and a side view often reveals multiple layers piled on top of one another.
